A comment about Election

As election is approaching in certain country, people and parties are campaigning. And is it really necessary to do so? Will it really help them to get more votes? Will mere posters along the street change people's mind? If it does, I am speechless; but if it doesn't, then why waste the money? Some of them even bragged spending billions on campaigning. And what did they do using the billions? Printing posters, setting up tents, and temporary offices which I don't really know the purpose of it. And to make life comfortable for the humans in the temporary offices, they equipped it with air-con. Is it worth it? Why not use the money to do something useful? We are speaking of billions. Billions!! It is a thousand of a million. If giving scholarship to a medical student is approximately a million, almost all the PM classes student can study medicine for free!!

To make matters worst, they have no sense of creativity AT ALL. They just paste the faces everywhere, as they like, without thinking how it would destroy the view of the place. Some of them even blocked the view of the road users. Making the road a more dangerous place.

Should election bring such a side affect to the society? Does it justify the cost of it? I wonder....

Klang Bak Kut Teh And Basketball

Tomorrow. friday 28/2/2008, desby is going to buy us a bak kut teh in Klang. The problem is transport. We need people to drive there, although it is far. If no one is willing to drive, we will have to find alternate ways of getting there. Some of the ways are:
  • Walking to the KTM, which is behind Subang Parade under the hot sun at 1pm. About 15 mins. Then, taking the slow KTM to Sentral, then switching over to the other line to Klang. Then, we have to WALK roughly the same distance from college to parade in order to get to the restaurant. Long and tiring, but with friends it should be fun.
  • Take the bus from the bus stop outside Sri KL to Kelana Jaya LRT station, take the LRT to sentral, switch to KTM, go to Klang. However we still have to walk to the restaurant. But the LRT is much faster than the KTM.
  • Drive there and all the problems are solved. But we need drivers and cars. Please offer to drive, people!!!

Then coming back is a another problem. If we are to take the KTM back, we have to come back before rush hour, which doesn't seem possible. We come back the same way we went there, just the other direction.

Anyway, after we get back we plan to play basketball somewhere around college. This is because amplifier max was boasting about how easy basketball is and how you don't need reflexes to play it. Therefore, everyone in our class is going to challenge him on friday and wipe the floor with his face. Please don't run away, max.

If the Klang trip doesn't work out tomorrow, it just leaves us more time to trash max. And i'll make sure we do, even with my sprained knee. Trash talk needs to be backed up. Better practise tonight Max. Haha.

No hard feelings i hope.

EDIT: The KTM train from subang goes straight to Klang. We don't have to go to Sentral because it's the other way. Sorry. I was thinking of Mid Valley. Thanks for the correction Ms.Durga. And welcome to our blog.

27/2 - Ken PMS

Today, Ken had PMS in class. He fought with practically almost everyone in the class. First was Desmond and then Wen Peng. According to Ken, he did ALL the work for Bio Report on Yakult and Wen Peng and Desmond did not do anything. Desmond being a gentlman asked Ken whether he need any help. However it turned out to be a disaster when Ken scolded him for not doing anything. Wen Peng was dragged into the argument because he and Li Xing stole Ken's seat during break in AC. ( Ken went to the toilet to change because he wore his shirt inside out.) Yan Sheng heard the fight and joint in as he always does. And no prize for guessing the first word that came out from his mouth. ' F_ _ _ u Ken!!' and then the trademark middlefinger. Unlike the previous times when he will just shut up and sulk, he fought against Yan Sheng.

Ken : U coward! You only know how to scold the F word and point the middle finger. U can't do anything else. If u are brave enough then come and fight lar!

Yan Sheng : I know how to shoot u. And u better not ask me to come over to fight u. Later u get talasemia and then fainted.

Ken : [mumble] [mumble] (nothing to say)

Thanks to Yan Sheng, the conflict has been resolved ( although in not a very good way ). So everyone start the countdown. 28 days later u better not step on Ken's tail because u dunno wat he will do to u.

Yakult Factory Visit

On the 22nd of February, our biology teacher, Ms Durga organized a trip to Yakult.
Although it would seem to Taylor's College that this is an educational trip to learn about bacteria culture, the truth is that we all just wanted an excuse to skip class (I hope none of the teachers or big shots from college read this).

Anyway, we had to attend our first two class on that day, which was maths and physics. Then, we went to get breakfast since it was our break time and we had to wait for the bus which leaves at 10.30 am. Most of us bought Mcdonald's since it was the most logical thing to eat. Some people from PM11 and PM i forgot what also joined us for the trip since there was empty spaces in the bus.

Then, we all boarded the bus and enjoyed our one hour ride to Seremban, where the only Yakult factory in Malaysia is located. Sounds so cool. During the ride, some of our classmates gambled behind the bus, all with the intention of wanting to win money from Gaylord. Some of the more err, not so gambling minded people of our class stayed at the front of the bus to play tortoise(a card game) and UNO.

At Yakult, we were greeted by some perverted guards who kept staring at us (yes, boys too). The guide, Ms/Mrs/Mdm (she didn't say) Chew ( i think) introduced herself and briefed us about the schedule for the day.

Then, we all went to the toilet secara beramai-ramai before heading to the hall where the guide would give us a talk about Yakult and probiotics. Ms Chew (i'll assume she's still single) talked to us about Yakult and it's history and what is Lactobacillus casei Shirota. They also pulled some marketing techniques on us by saying they have most bacteria in a bottle in the market and such. They also promoted probiotics and the benefits of having a good healthy intestine. Furthermore, they tried to make us practise Shirotaism, which is healthy intestine leads to good life, cheaper health food and prevention is better than cure. (I think.) They also gave us one, ONE bottle of Yakult each, which was fresh from the factory.

Then the worse part came. They showed us a video about probiotics, but then from time to time in the show, two retarded looking Japanese girls will talk among themselves and tried to act cute. Sorry for being mean, but it was scary. Not the spooky kind of way, but the same feeling you get when you're a guy and Gaylord flashes you with his gay smile. UGH, nightmares. Anyway, after the show, we got to see production line with all the fancy machine. Works of engineering. Very cool IMHO.

Then, before leaving, we all bought some Yakult home for our family members and friends so they, too will have healthy intestines and enjoy good health. On our way back, we bought famous Seremban Siew Pao, which has a signboard you can see from the north-south expressway.

On the journey home, people in the bus became more crazy as the PM something class was playing truth or dare. Gaylord was victim, or maybe a beneficiary when one of the girls was dared to go hug him. The noise level was extreme as people were screaming while playing card games and gambling. It was quite a good way to release stress.

Our guide, Ms Chew standing behind the world map of Yakult domination.
Many other products that Yakult manufactures, like noodles,
cosmetics and a variety of probiotic drinks.
This is the seed tank.
This is the culture tank, where the bacteria grows.
Storage tank, where flavours and syrup are added before being bottled.
The Injection Blow Moulding Machine, where Yakult bottles are made.
The testing lab where they test their products.

More of the testing lab.
Labeller Machine, where they label the Yakult bottles. DUH!

Filling Machine

Was trying to get a picture of this worker who Samurai Jack said was
stealing Yakult bottles. But actually, he was only taking random samples
to be sent to the lab for testing. OOPS.

Straw attaching Machine. All this just for a straw.

Packaging Machine. Makes them into five packs you buy from supermarkets.

This machine bundles the five packs into large bundles for shipping.

The big Siew Pow signboard you can see from the highway.

A photo of the interior of the bus on they journey home. Note, this is when everyone was still normal. But you can see some starting so show signs of stress relief.

Gaylord getting hugged during the dare.

All in all, it was a fun trip. Good reason to skip class too. Haha. Anyway, we should organise a class trip after A2 to someplace many of us will and can go.

PS. I apologize if i offended anyone or any organisation due to the stuff written in this post. This was written as a joke and for humour.

Happy Birthday AUNTIE Shu Ling!!!

This is another long overdue post that was supposed to be posted on the 19th of February. Several members if PM3 celebrated slipper ling's birthday on the 19th of feb. Xiao po was the one who made it all happen. She even bought for the birthday girl a card which the whole class signed. Those who went had fun as we played some of the board games that were available at As You Like It while we waited for the food. Plus, Muscleman chong had fun when we took Gaylords wallet and hid it in pohluk's bag. And then, as pohluk was in a hurry to get his lab coat from a friend and he left early, so gaylord had no money to pay. LOL. Luckily muscleman offered to pay for him first. And as with the same time we went to As You Like It last year, pohluk didn't pay before leaving again and we had to pay for him first.

Slipperling is now 19 years OLD, so she has the title AUNTIE now. Btw, the people at the restaurant were very friendly as they took photos for us, played the birthday song when we were singing and even got plates and forks for us to eat the cake, but we didn't have time, so we had to cut the cake during the intermission before Biology lab that day. They also provided us with a lighter to light the cake. So kind. The food isn't as cheap as Asia Cafe, but they have a nice atmosphere.

Can you believe it? This is last year's cake.

Slipperling is so lucky. PM3 celebrated her birthday two years in a row.

Last year's photo during the party. All still so innocent. How time flies.

This is one year later. Xiao po bought the cake.

Candle blowing. The restaurant played the song when we sang.

Group photo of those who went. Notice how muscleman is trying to keep
a distance from Gaylord.

One year later. Such huge difference compared to last year.

Cutting the cake before Biology lab. For the first time,
we all managed to finish the cake.

That's all. PM3 hopes that Slipperling enjoyed her birthday.
IMPORTANT NOTE: LIXING IS NO LONGER KNOWN AS AUNTIE AS SHE IS WITH WENPENG NOW. HER NEW TITLE IS CLOWN, OR GANGSTER CHAN. THE TITLE OF AUNTIE IS NOW WITH SHULING.
