Class Trip Part 1

The class trip is set for 16/6 to 19/6 to Pulau Tioman. We are planning this to be a 4 days 3 nights trip. Those who are interested please confirm with joel, nut or me as soon as possible.

Joel suggested that we take the RM 480 package. The package includes 2 buffet breakfast, 2 buffet dinner, one packed lunch and a snorkelling trip(not including snorkelling equipment). However the trip is only for 3 days 2 nights, which seems quite rushed to me.

If we decide not to take the package, we can plan our own trip and take our own time. The chalets are split into 3 categories: standard, superior and deluxe. Since we are poor and have no "millions that our parents have saved up so we can do whatever we want", have to stay in the paya lodge.

The deluxe chalet has a king sized bed in the bedroom, a twin sofa bed in the living room and a double bed on the mezzanine floor. The room comes complete with air conditioning, coffee/ tea making facilities (who cares) and bathroom. 6 people.

The superior chalet has a double or twin bedded rooms plus a single sofa bed in each room. 4 people.

The standard chalet has a queen sized bed and and two single pull out beds. 4 people.

The paya lodge, the one joel suggested we stay in, consists of double or quad rooms. 2 or 4 people.

Now for the confusing part. The paya beach resort rates and reservation page splits the 4 different rooms into twin, triple, quad and single. What i guess this means is that this is the number of rooms in the chalet, or the number of people staying or god knows what. So i will assume that we are all going to use the quad room thingy.

So, it comes up to
Standard-240/4=60
Superior- 340/4= 85
Deluxe-480/6=80
Paya lodge- 160/room or 40 per bed

looks cheap right?? i hope so.

Now all that bullshit and I still don't know whether we can stay at the chalets or not since joel said we are going to stay that the paya lodge, which is some sad case large room. good for group activities though.

What to do there if we don't take the package?
  • snorkelling
  • jungle trekking
  • karaoke
  • cyber cafe
  • diving
  • gym
  • spa
  • fishing
  • boat trips
  • beach volleyball
  • Watch the sunset

We have to pay for these ourselves, so we have to plan exactly what we want to do and when we want to do it and how many want to go. It would be better if the everyone participates in the same activity.

They don't have atm machines on the island, so ken, please bring your Master card or Visa card so that you can pay for us.

So for the details of the lodging and other stuff, i'll confirm with joel and the resort then post on the blog.

Thanks.
